Congresswoman Lisa McClain held her first town halls in Huron County as a member of Congress Monday, visiting three separate communities.
The town halls took place at Harbor Beach City Hall, Port Austin Township Hall, and at Caseville City Hall, where residents could bring their concerns to the representative. Further town halls are planned to take place on Tuesday at the New Baltimore Civic Club, the Marine City Chamber, and the Marysville Community Center.
McClain’s reasons for being a Congresswoman comes out of her love for the district, Michigan, and United States, despite her having no political experience before. She has spent 30 years in the business world with companies like American Express and the Hantz Group. She said she did not need the job of a politician, but she wanted it.
