FREE SPEECH? Trump’s ‘Truth Social’ Venture Explicitly Bans Any Criticism of Platform in Its Terms of Service

“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable,” Trump said in a written statement announcing his new venture.

“I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech,” he added.

However, the platform explicitly allows for censorship in its terms of service. They ban any user that will “disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the Site.” This terminology is incredibly vague and could end up being more restrictive against speech than Facebook or Twitter.
