Rand Paul rips Fauci for being 'unconcerned with liberty' and 'lying' to the public

Sen. Rand Paul continued his vocal criticism of Dr. Anthony Fauci Friday night, telling Fox News’s Tucker Carlson that the doctor is “not being honest” with the public.

"What Fauci won't tell you is he is telling you a 'noble lie,” Paul, who is a physician himself, told Carlson after the Fox News host played a clip of a tense exchange between the two doctors during a Senate hearing Thursday.

“He is lying because he doesn't think we are smart enough to make decisions," Paul added. "His fear is, if we quit wearing masks, the vaccinated [people] will say, 'What the hell, I'm not wearing a mask either.’”
